I’ve been downloading a lot of fanfic lately for personal archival purposes, and I figured I’d share how I do it in case it’s useful to anyone else (and so I have it written down in case I forget!).
There are lots of different ways to save fic, including the file download built into AO3, but I find that this gives me the nicest ebooks in the most efficient way.
(Under a cut cause long.)
I’ve neglected to take pictures of Blueberry. This Stellar’s Jay, which are corvids, comes to my patio every morning for peanuts and sometimes is my alarm clock.
We were feeling pretty chuffed about having the #6 trending post on this website until we saw number 7 was a Supernatural mpreg edit
Alrighty then
Yea that’s fair
I made Dylan Hollis’ onion soup bread and it is SO GOOD. And so easy. The video is floating around Tumblr, but is also here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1kKcvglQCA (link)
For ease of reference, the recipe is just:
Mix everything together until it’s a ball, press it into a well greased loaf pan, sprinkle some extra cheese on top, and bake in a 350F (170-180c) oven for 50-60 minutes.
Let it cool for 15 minutes before popping it out out of the pan.
Eat and enjoy! I’m taking it for lunch tomorrow.
Welp, I reloaded an old save and sacrificed about 4 hours of progress to change my mind about romancing Astarion. No spoilers, but I figure it’s the best chance I’ve got of keeping him at the end! And I for sure want to keep him 😍
Western Canadian Literature: “The prairie is cold and empty, like my marriage.”
Eastern Canadian Literature: “The sea is cold and empty, like my marriage.”
Cultural differences.
A few folks have commented that the preceding post is overly reductive, and I have to admit that I was perhaps a bit glib. Here’s an attempt at a more accurate summary, then.
British Columbia Literature: “The mountains are cold and empty, like - holy shit, a bear!”
Alberta Literature: “The prairie is cold and empty, like my attempts to reconnect with my heritage.”
Saskatchewan Literature: “The prairie is cold and empty, like my marriage.”
Manitoba Literature: “The prairie is cold and empty, like my relationship with my father.”
Ontario Literature: “The hills are cold and empty, like my faith in humanity.”
Quebec Literature: “The River is cold and empty, like my faith in God.”
Newfoundland Literature: “The sea is cold and empty, like my marriage.”
Nova Scotia Literature: “The sea is cold and empty, like my relationship with my son.”
Nunavut Literature: “The tundra is cold and empty, like the legacy of white colonialism.”
I think that about covers it.
Y’know what amuses me about all of these kinds of scenes? When Steve is wearing that uniform in the film, he’s playing Captain Showreel. He’s playing the legend these kids grew up with. He’s seen what it does to Coulson. He knows lower-down operatives would probably be of a similar mindset. So he treats them like the kids who used to chase him for autographs.
They see the suit. They don’t see the irate, PTSD-suffering 25 year old behind it.
Fuuuuuck.
Fandom makes the source material better. There’s no goddamned way that’s what Joss was thinking. Chris, maybe, but Joss is a fuckwit.
a couple of OC’s whose appearance changes every time i draw them

she stuck out a single arm before changing her mind and deciding the rest of the tank is too scary, far too scary by far she is scared
